Jeff is the Head Instructor of Krav Maga Worldwide of Indianapolis and is truly a connoisseur. We are happy to announce that Jeff’s passion of teaching was recognized in which he recently was awarded “Instructor of the Year-2010” of Krav Maga Worldwide Training Centers.

With a passion for sports since a young age, he has participated in football, basketball, soccer and wrestling. Jeff has competitively wrestled in Japan and throughout the United States. He also partook in Sport Fighting with many different associations. In addition to his elaborate athletic resume, Jeff has studied Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, boxing, and Thai kickboxing.

Jeff came across Krav Maga after college in order to fulfill the physical void he missed from wrestling. Instantly, he fell in love with the program. Jeff earned his Black Belt at the instructor level on March 29th, 2009 and is one of less than 75 in the world to have this status! As an outstanding leader, he demonstrates his passion and devotion for the sport in his teaching performance and dedication to his students.

Ben came into the Krav Maga family in March 2008. He’s been a police officer since 2005 and was interested in finding something that could help keep him safe on the streets. Krav Maga seemed to be the perfect fit. Not only has it taught him self-defense, but it has also improved his overall fitness.

Ben has always been involved in soccer and other various athletic activities but was has never been able to achieve the fitness level that Krav Maga Worldwide offers him.

In August 2008, Ben was awarded the opportunity to test for his Level 1 Instructor Certification in Sherman Oaks, CA. After a long week of hard work and determination, he successfully obtained his certification.  We are excited to have him as a part of the Krav Maga Indy team.

Clay was raised in Madison, Indiana on a farm where he has worked most of his life. At an early age he was involved in Baseball, Basketball and Soccer.  In January of 2003, at age 12, he signed up for Shaolin-do Karate. After receiving a black belt in 2006 he started teaching at Fit for the King fitness center in Madison.  He continued on to earn a 2nd degree black belt. Clay discovered Krav Maga during his first year of college while looking for something simple and effective he could recommend while giving a speech on the importance of self defense. After some research he was hooked and had to try out a class. Thoroughly impressed with both the self defense and fitness program, Clay signed up with the goal of becoming an instructor. Changing his career path Clay left college to focus on Krav Maga. After achieving his level 1 instructor certification in September 2011, his new goal is to get enough teaching experience to open his own training center back home in Madison.

Ericka grew up in California and has been involved in the martial arts since the she was 4.  After 8 years of training in Shorin-Ryu she received her first Black Belt at the age of 12. That style provided a great foundation, however she began to seek something with a greater degree of practicality. When she found Krav Maga it was exactly what she was looking for.  She has been training in Krav Maga for the past 11 years.  After four years of hard training she was brought on as an instructor.  Teaching has become her passion, which is what brought her out to Indianapolis. She moved to Indianapolis in 2011 to reinstate the km-X program.

Jared was always involved in sports.  He was the captain of the baseball and soccer team in high school and the soccer MVP his senior year.  He continued his love for soccer and played at Manchester College. After receiving his Bachelors in Psychology from Manchester he continued his education at University of Tennessee for industrial/organization psychology.  Since Jared played sports through high school and college, he was always in the gym.

After graduating, he still wanted to work out but was bored with lifting and the cardio. His grandfather and great grandfather both boxed and his dad was involved with Martial Arts when he was a kid, Jared looked for something along those lines.  After learning about Krav Maga, Jared had to find a Training Facility.  He was lucky enough to move back to Indy right after Jeff opened Krav Maga Indy.  Jared and his wife tried it, fell in love and have been going ever since.

Josh

Josh is a Noblesville resident and a Ball State University graduate. With a background in wrestling and Shorin-Ruy Karate, Krav Maga came easily to him. Josh came into Krav Maga with the idea that he would hone in on the physical aspect of his life. He soon found that it is more than just physical and has benefited firsthand from the self-defense side of Krav Maga. Josh shows great integrity and will be a part of the Krav Maga Worldwide family for years to come.

Matt grew up in Indiana and played football through high school.  In college he studied Aiki jujutsu for a year.  However, during graduate school he found continuing difficult because of the time commitment.  When he moved to Indianapolis he was looking for a workout routine which was dynamic and challenging.  When he found Krav Maga he fell in love with it because it offered the workout routine he missed, while teaching real world self defense.  When offered the opportunity to be an instructor Matt gladly accepted the challenge.  As an instructor his greatest reward is seeing students gain confidence while learning to protect themselves.

Myles was born and raised in Southern California, where he was exposed to Krav Maga in his hometown of Temecula. He has been training in Krav Maga for the past 7 years and has been fortunate enough to train with many high level instructors. Myles has been teaching Krav Maga at all ages including (3-4 year olds, 5-6 year olds, 8-12 year olds, as well as the adult classes) for the past 5 years.  Because of his passion for martial arts he has also trained in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, Muay Thai and Wresting. Myles has fought at several tournaments in Southern California, including BJJ tournaments and Pankration tournaments. He also has one Amatuer MMA fight.  Although he is looking forward to more Amateur MMA fights in the future, his real passion is teaching Krav Maga.

Patrick continued playing for one year in college at Tuskegee University. He also played two years with the University Park Titans, a semi-pro team in the south suburbs of Chicago.

While never being involved with any "organized" fighting method, Patrick has participated in three triathlons and loves to ski, he considers himself to be very athletic. In the beginning of 2009, he had the discovered the thrill and simplicity of Krav Maga.

Tyler has always had an interest in sports and staying active. In high school, he was all-conference in baseball and football and he also played basketball. Tyler continued playing baseball for one year at Anderson University. At AU, Tyler earned degrees in elementary education and business management.  Tyler continues to show his love for sports by playing softball and basketball in a church league.

After getting married, starting his career and having his son, Tyler and his wife were looking for a motivating way to get back into shape.  He had been interested in MMA style fighting and began looking for a similar workout, but he also wanted something that was practical for him and his family.  When he found Krav Maga it was the perfect fit. Tyler and his wife began regularly attending classes and quickly became addicted to Krav Maga Indy.  Tyler completed Phase A in 2011 and loves being an instructor.

Tyler grew up near Kokomo, Indiana where he was an avid swimmer and outdoorsman since the age of 12.  After enrolling at Wabash College, his interest in martial arts developed when he stumbled upon a group of different martial artists that got together to train and share each other's styles.  Through this, he was exposed to tae kwon do, jujitsu, jeet kune do, and escrima.  Regardless of the art being studied, he found the self defense portion most exciting and wondered if there was something more practical out there.

After graduating, Tyler went on to Purdue University to obtain his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.  While studying, he felt a void from training and began pursuing Shorei goju ryu karate, where he trained for 6 years.  After graduating and starting his career, Tyler became restless and missed the self defense training.  He then sought out to find a style that would emphasize his passion, practical street self defense.  From the day he walked into the Krav Maga Studio, he knew he had found his new home.  Through rigorous training and dedication, Tyler completed his Phase Training in 2011.  He is excited to be sharing his passion by teaching others to protect themselves.  He views his Krav Maga certification as one of his greatest accomplishments, and loves to help others feel find that same level of satisfaction with their training.
