KM-X Kids Schedule

· KM Level 1-This entry-level class is designed for all new Krav Maga students. The goal of the class is to teach the basics of self-defense and fighting. Students will learn Krav Maga’s fighting stance and movement, various punches, kicks from standing position as well as from on the ground, elbows and knees and how to defend against punches, chokes, headlocks and wrist grabs.
· KM Level 2- In this intermediate level class, students will continue to review and perfect the skills learn in KM Level 1, as well as learn additional punches and kicks, punch defenses with counterattacks, kick defenses, and defenses against various chokes, headlocks and bear hugs.
· KM Level 3- In this intermediate class students will continue to train on strikes, defenses against strikes, and self defense, including more advanced techniques that involve defending against weapons such as knives, guns, and sticks.
· KM Level 4- This class was designed specifically for Green Belt students interested in more advanced training with emphasis on Blue Belt techniques. The curriculum includes additional punches and kicks, more defenses against punches and kicks, defenses against knives, guns, and sticks, as well as advanced ground fighting techniques. Green Belt students are encouraged to continue training in KM Level 3 classes as well. Students who train two to three times per week should expect to be ready to test for Blue Belt in twelve months.
· KM BAG- Where fitness meets fighting!! Heavy bags, medicine balls, and jump ropes are just a few of the tools used in this class. This class features a combination of strength training, dynamic flexibility and heavy bag work. The focus of this class is to emphasize muscular strength and endurance. Students will learn correct body alignment to maximize efficiency, while refining Krav Maga technique through repetition, drills and punch kick combinations on the bag.
· CORE STRENGTH- Students will focus on implementing yoga and Pilate’s based movements by enhancing their core endurance, strength, flexibility and balance.
· INTRO TO FIGHT- This 12 week beginning level fight class is designed for those students who want to experience fighting in a step-by-step, methodical, non intimidating fashion. The students will learn the essential strikes, blocks and movements of Krav Maga street fighting and will be brought along slowly until they are accustomed to the contact that occurs in a fight. There will be some degree of contact in every class; beginning with minimal contact the first few weeks and ending with light sparring by the end of the course.
· GROUND FIGHT- This class is designed to focus on just grappling. Based on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Krav Maga, this class teaches the art of grappling while in a ground fight. Students will learn escapes from various holds and positions as well as offensive moves such as joint locks and submissions.
· *FIGHT COMBO- Perfect your fighting skills on all levels whether your opponent is down on the ground or standing. Both offensive and defensive techniques will be taught.
· LIL KRAV 3 – 4 – Throughout this program your child will experience training that targets the skills that they are currently developing; skills such as large and gross motor skills, behavior development and character development. These skills have been broken down into distinct exercises, games, activities and drills that compliment their stage of development.
· KIDS KRAV 5 - 7 – Alongside learning basic striking and combatives; focus, self discipline, balance, self control, sportsmanship, teamwork, manners and common sense, are just some of the life skills carefully woven into our curriculum. Our program is designed so that one may see their progress and be proud of their growth.
· YOUTH KRAV 8 – 12 – In this dynamic program we instruct students in realistic self defense, motivate them to improve their overall level of fitness and enrich them with crucial life skills so that they can become leaders in all aspects of their life. Once we begin to develop a student's self confidence, we are then able to instill the values of respect, courtesy, honesty, perseverance, and integrity. It is these combined physical and character traits that form the foundation of our curriculum.
