Krav Maga Worldwide…Fights Cancer
Marni Levine was a fourth degree black belt, a founding partner of Krav Maga Worldwide, a 37 year old mother of two, and a true fighter.
She made it her goal to teach men, women and children how to protect themselves through training the body and the spirit.
Marni’s death inspired the worldwide community of Krav Maga instructors and school owners to inaugurate the Annual Krav Maga Worldwide Fights Cancer Fundraiser in October 2006.
Since its inception in 2006, the Marni Fun has raised close to $350,000 for cancer research. Our goal is to raise more than $50,000 annually for cancer research through Krav Maga Worldwide Fights Cancer seminars.
The self defense seminars, taught by certified Krav Maga Worldwide instructors, will be held at numerous Krav Maga Worldwide™ Official Training Centers internationally. 100 percent of the proceeds from the seminars will be donated to the Marni Fund. All funds will be matched by the receiving Comprehensive Cancer Research Center. The Marni Fund currently supports three of Southern California's most innovative, young cancer researchers: Dr. Melanie Palomares M.D., M.S., City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Research Center, Dr. Sara Hurvitz M.D., UCLA Johnsson Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Dr. Christopher Haiman Sc, D, , USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.
